I work with WordPress (Elementor) and Squarespace.

I do not work with Wix, but I will recommend you to allow me to transfer your new website builder to WordPress, as it is free to set up, has far more robust plugin library and features, and gives me freedom to create my best works. If you have a shop set up in your old Wix Website, WordPress also has Woocommerce which I can help you set up as well.

Yes. You must have all content necessary for the project ready to go before the agreed upon project start, unless some arrangement we have discussed in the discovery call. Failure to do so could result in rescheduling the project to a later date and/or a restart fee.

The best projects are well thought out and prepared with solid ideas before any designs are crafted. When the project goals and ideals are finalized before the project, we are working together with a clear direction, purpose, and mission.

For the branding projects, I will need your design questionnaire returned with your business details. You must have a clear and concrete idea of your target audience, business mission, products and services, a general idea of styles and color palette you like/appeal to your target audience (or exactly what you dislike), as this is included in my branding toolkit questionnaire that you will have to complete and get back to me.

For the website design projects, you must have all website content and photos necessary for the project ready to go before the agreed upon project start, unless there is some arrangement we have discussed in the discovery call.

For the branded collateral design projects, you must have a solid branding strategy and identity already in place and currently in use before we can start the project as this helps me replicate the best designs that you can use along with your current branding and/or website.

Custom projects start at minimum of 4 weeks and semi-custom projects such as collaterals design start at 2 weeks. However, client response times overall may change timeline. All content must be provided at start of project to ensure project deadline.

Payments for projects are staggered depending on the timeline needed for the work. For branding strategy and identity, payments are broken into 2 parts: the 50% initial non-refundable deposit to secure your booking, and the final 50% payment prior to the delivery of the assets. The same goes for website design and branded collaterals design. For the full package service (branding strategy, identity, website and collaterals design), payments are broken to 3 parts: the initial 50% non refundable deposit, the 25% mid project (branding assets delivery), and the final 25% prior to website launch.

I usually book about four weeks before I start a project. So I would recommend getting in touch with me as soon as you decide that you need a designer and well before your target launch.

This is something that clients often think, and I seriously think that it does more harm than financial good for the your business in the long run.

Your logo is not your brand, not entirely, atleast. You need more than just a good logo, and if I design you the logo that you want, that logo will only take you so far. Remembering a single logo is tricky as it is, and using the same logo across everything as a small business is not helping your message get across your target audience. But if you create an entire experience through illustrations, colors, patterns, and fonts, you’ve got a brand that’s memorable, is more likely to stay on top of the audience it attracts’ minds, and perpetuates awareness for your brand.

A brand is more than a logo and more than just visual identification. It is an emotion generated from what someone feels, sees and tastes when they interact with your business on any level. Your brand is the culmination of what your business believes and hopes to accomplish. By this, your brand becomes your personality and along with that personality comes much more than just a pretty logo.

So I highly recommend enlisting the branding strategy and identity package to take into consideration your business goals, message and target markets and incorporate it to your business’ comprehensive branding strategy and identity, resulting to a logo that is not just a graphic element with your name on it, but a culmination of all the important aspects behind the foundations of your brand.

If for some reason you are still not content after two rounds of minor revisions, we will continue the refinement process at my current hourly rate. We go through an in-depth design questionnaire and branding strategy toolkit in the beginning to make sure we are on the same page, so 99% of the time 2 refinement rounds would suffice.

No. For domains and hosting, you will need to purchase your own domain registration and hosting plans separately and you have to have this ready before we start designing your website. The reason that I leave this process to you is because this is something that you would have to renew for yourself annually, and by that time, we might or might no longer be working with your project together. Do not worry though, if you have yet to set this process up, I will guide you on how to do it in our kick-off session. For starters, I recommend registering your domain and purchasing the hosting plans with Hostinger and Hostgator: Hostinger has one of the cheapest starter options in the market and is easy to set up, while Hostgator has good customer service and user-friendly dashboard set up as well.

With that said, Chris Carciller Designs is not responsible for server downtime, software issues or any other compatibility issue that may arise after the launch of the site from your hosting or domain provider.

Your domain is the address of your website on the internet, and hosting is an online service that stages your website’s content so it will be accessible on the internet. Purchasing a hosting plan is equal to renting a space on a physical server to store all the website’s files and data. To create a website, you must first register your domain name and then acquire a web hosting account. This means that a website cannot be built without both of these things.

No. I will design and build your website to ensure maximize use of your builder’s features, and to ensure that it is organized to deliver your message and showcase your works to your target audience. In the competitor research phase of our project, I can create section assignments based on similar industries and businesses for you, so you can have a general idea on what to write for your content.

Included in all my website packages is basic SEO set up to optimize your website to the minimum requirements of the SEO plugin we are using, to the best of my ability. For WordPress, I use YoastSEO which is user-friendly and one of the top SEO plugins in the market. Writing for SEO is not included and is best done by your copywriting professional. If you require additional, specific or on going SEO services I would recommend getting in touch with an SEO expert who can give you expert help.

After the website launch, you are entitled for a 1 month website backend assistance as part of your website design package. After that, a monthly maintenance package is subject for request and will be hourly rated.

Definitely. As part of your website design package, I provide personalized video tutorials to our clients so you’re able to make website edits & updates on your own in the future. If you ever need a little extra assistance in the more technical side of the website (e.g. backend), you’re more than welcome to reach out!
